Martina Anto-Ocrah, PhD, MPH, MT(ASCP)

My research centers on pregnancy, sexual & reproductive health epidemiology in United States (US) and global populations. As a reproductive epidemiologist, my US-based work explores the impact of concussions/mild traumatic brain injuries on women’s reproductive wellbeing (pregnancy, sexuality, menstruation, socio-cultural norms, etc); while my global health work (in Ghana, Rwanda, Malawi, and counting!) is focused on obstetric emergencies and The Three Delays. Though a quantitative methodologist, I have a deep appreciation for mixed methods research and often involve qualitative research methodologies and machine learning approaches in my work.

In my spare time, I enjoy humorously blogging about parenting a 12 year old singleton and his 9 year old triplet siblings. I also appeared on the popular Netflix baking show Nailed It! Holiday! Season 1 Episode 3 ("You Mitzvah Spot" 2018) and won (spoiler alert!).
